the bike is in very good condition, but I have been replacing a lot of rubber parts on it lately. the grommets that hold on the side covers, battery strap, throttle cable, grommets around the speedometer & tach. I just noticed the rubber carb mount is cracked all around it. I got one on order. that's probably why the engine idles sometimes fast & sometimes it want's to stall. runs a little erratic. I replaced the rubber blocks under the seat as well. the tool kit is missing & I ordered a generic kit, but the rubber straps that hold the kit to the under seat are dry rotted right off the bike so I got them coming in also. just fine tuning the bike before I ride it in the spring & summer. it also needs tires which are you guessed it, are dry rotted, but they hold air & the treads are good. just a safety thing I guess with the tires. I love tinkering with stuff like this. I will change the oil soon & lube the chain. bike is sweet though, the metal is in great condition, no dents in the tank & the chrome is immaculate.....

 

 

i'm surprised at the number of old parts still available. bought tons of stuff on ebay & bike bandit. probably a few hundred dollars worth of rubber grommets & other items...
