I was “gifted” an $800 KLR250 for Father’s Day that wasn’t running. Never had a motorcycle before, know nothing about them but got it running and now I use it for running back and forth to work (only about 1/4 mile). I love the bike, love the ‘90s colors but really don’t know what I’ve got here in terms of quality of bike, value for resale, tips to make them last longer, common issues, mileage life expectancy etc…any help or direction greatly appreciated.

Currently has 5928 miles…no idea if that’s a lot, average, little, totally new to all this.
