Finally made the upgrade....
Hey,
Just joined the forum. Recently put down the cash for a '95 ZX9R. Looking forward to picking it up when I get back from the disaster relief nightmare here in New Orleans. Fortunately that will be very soon.
This is by far the largest bike I have ever owned. Next nearest is an older ZX6 then a EX250 track bike. I have huge plans for this one. The second I get it I'm putting it on a weight loss program. I've got carbon panels lined up for it from head to toe. Carbon tank. Carbon air box and ducting. Going with DyMag carbon wheels and a RAM single sided swingarm in magnesium flavor. Weight is a compulsive issue for me. *LOL* Will definately upgrade the forks and rear shock to race grade. If I don't bolt on an Ohlins in the rear then definately a Penske. I'll respring and valve the forks with Ohlins components. A bunch of functional aesthetics that are pretty much a given. Rear sets, double bubble, race tail etc. Seems like it came stock with the Muzzy header and can. I'm going to check on the header specs see if there is anything that can breath better. Considering grafting something from RaceFit onto the midpipe. Going to cap the air injectors when I replace the ducting. I guess that's it off the top of my head.

RE: Finally made the upgrade....
Welcome to the forums Scotty! That is a sweet looking bike, sounds like you'll have fun with your weight loss program . I don't know if you noticed, but we have a "Do It Yourself" section here - if you would like to contribute some of your work, that would be awesome!

Thank you...
This is going to be a great project and I can't wait to get started. You can bet that as I get pics of it I'll be posting them in the photos area. The 250 project was cool but it's time to move up. I definately plan to contribute to the "Do It Yourself" as the bike progresses.
