Finally, I have my CY!
I have been riding off-road for a few years. I'm 35 now, and started late. I was in the military and just didn't get involved. Now that I am out, I have discovered that RIDING IS AWESOME!
I've owned approximately 20-30 bikes in the last 3 years. I usually pick them up cheap and resell them. I just had 8 stolen at once. 2 have been recovered by the police, 6 still missing.
Right now, I have a 1999 Kawasaki KX 250 Bone Stock I picked up for $500.
It was only stickered for ORV in 2000, 2001, 2002, then parked. New gas, plug, carb drain, and started first kick. Bike is in awesome condition. Working to sell it, maybe today, to buy a road bike.
I found a Honda Interceptor for pretty cheap. I'm really interested in it, but I don't know how differently it will ride than a dirt bike. I don't want something I will be uncomfortable riding.
Anyway, as many bikes as I have, I decided to join this group. I have 4 Kawasaki's right now, 2 1990 KX 125's, 1999 KX 250, and 1 1999 Kawasaki KE 100. I'm considering the KE 100 as my first road bike, but 100cc might not be enough if I become comfortable riding on the road quickly. Just not something I have done.

welcome to KF
You could use the KE as your first street ride if you are comfy with it. The Interceptors are also a good learning street bike as well as a fun ride. I have a 750 right now that I am working to place on the streets. Everyone is different on their control and how the street riding pertains to them, so education is the best option and not just displacement. So a riders course is the best bang for the buck it seems. Good luck and again, welcome to KF
Bummer on the losses, I got hit for two of my race karts just last night. good luck on the recovery of the stolen bikes.

Welcome to the forums, the KE 100 is a two stroke, and while I have recommended that bike to a friends wife, I would look at the KLX 250 Dual Sport...hehehehe shamless plug for the KLX
PS I HATE PEOPLE THAT STEAL!!!! Sorry for that. How tall are you? That will make a difference in bike choice.
