Buying a zx6r...new to sportbikes, need serious direction please
Hi, i've owned fast cars for a while, and have had a few bikes....i just sold my 96 mustang gt and have a nice hefty bank account to buy a new bike
i've only had cruisers, a yam 650 special, and an 05 suz 800 marauder... i have about 3 yrs riding exp riding...i feel im ready for a sport bike and i am bent on a 600cc or so. ...636 anyone?...anyways, i would like to know the differences between the 05 and 06 zx6r...performance, reliability especially, styling, and also anythin else would normally care about. thank in advance, p..s. is the color blue in 05 and 06 different?

nothing is different other than color. so if the 636 is the bike u want just pick a color u like and get it. I have an 05 636 and i love it. Now if u can find an 05 around u can save some cash and put it into some MODS mmmmmm mods. but other than cash and color they are the exact same bike. keep us posted on what u get
oh yeah, welcome to the forum
oh yeah, the color blue is way differnt, 056r has the 05 blue, no one here has the 06 blue i dont think, but it is a matt blue, not as nice as the 05 blue jmo

Yup, same exact bike. The only reason why I didn't buy an 06 is because the Silver one I like has some purple flames on it for 06 and they did nothing for me. That and an extra $1200 in my pocket.
Personally, I think it would be a great first sportsbike. As long as you have some motorcycle experience. I wouldn't want such a fast and expensive bike as a beginner.
Good Luck and Welcome !
