I recently bought a new 2006 KX450F and had a question maybe someone here can answer. Is the exhaust header supposed to glow red? Running it outside in the daylight you can't really see it but I just started it in the garage and noticed it sort of glows. Is that normal and I just didn't notice it before. Or does this indicate something wrong? It sounds fine when it runs. Justed wanted to be cautious so I don't screw something up.....[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

 

Check your plug. But Ti headers glow pretty good.

 

it´s weird..it should not glow if you have just normal headers! best thing to do is go to the nearest Kawasaki or motorcycle store and let them check it out...

 

Naw Negitive thats perfectly fine, atleast you know you getting good Combustion, you have nothing to worry about, long at you dont touch it when its glowing, +1 Dragone

 

Just make sure you're not running lean...
Check your plug; see what color your deposit is.
