i put this here because theres no kx500 fourm. anyway... i know someone selling a 1986 kx500 for $800. runs and everything. in decent shape. dont know much about this model so i was wondering if anyone knew of any problems with this year/bike. or better yet anything positive about it?

 

Well, if ya got the extra dough I say buy it. I rode one along time ago, maybe it was a 92 I can't remember. It was a real witch to start though but once it got going look out! Those bikes are bullet proof. Just sick, fast and heavy. Post a pic if ya can.....

That's in great shape. I would buy it.. It would be worth even more as the years go by in that condition.

but the sob sold out form under me.
however... i am now looking at a 1986 canam mx500. heard anything on those? its in "used" shape but still hauls. i REALLY want a 2stroke 500. i rode my buddies cr500 up in maine earlier last summer and it was like crack. honestly, theres nothing like doing 150mph on a bike thats weight is less than half its displacement
