Stupid question, help!

OK, I'm new to this, I just bought a used 07 klx 300, no owners manual. Don't laugh, How much oil does this bike take? I'm guessing around 2 qts, and, what oil would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

I have a KLX250 and it uses the same exact engine except that the 300 has a larger cylinder bore and larger piston. Other than that they are the same. My handbook calls out 10W-40 oil, 1.6 US qts.
