Klx300r wont idle under 2.5k rpm
I bought a 2001 klx300r model that rides great but wont idle, i have cleaned the carburetor and pilot jet , checked for air leaks and it still has the same idling issue.
Its got a staintune pipe, uni air filter, standard main jet, needle 3rd notch from the top, starts fairly easily,
just wont idle lower than 2k at most.
also I have turned the pilot screw almost all the way out and it hasn't changed
Any ideas?
thanks

After cleaning the carburetor again, no change occured, so i went all the way and checked the timing plus valve clearances, both intake valves were at 0.00mm or less...
exhaust valves were at 0.08mm - 0.11mm
timing was also not correct the t mark on the stator was aligned however the intake camshaft mark was not inline with the top of the cylinder head,
exhaust was perfectly horizontal with the head.
anyway after fixing it all up, valves within spec, started up with choke and i felt the compression when kickstarting, before it was very easy.
started up then turned off the choke, adjusted idle, now idles perfect at 1.4k and sounds great.
