Default Your longest KLX250 ride

The 07 vs 09 KLX thread with the "clifsta controversy" got me thinking. What is the longest ride you guys have done? I think my longest day on the bike was 120 miles. I ask because I am planning a trip that'll be around 160 miles one way this summer. About 50 miles will be dirt / gravel roads. The rest paved. Someday I would like to take the bike to Death Valley or Southeast Oregon or Northwest Nevada (no paved roads out there) and do an overnight camping type tour / ride.

Wow! You're gonna be beat up by the end of the day! I did 140 miles of paved road and about 10 miles of rocks and dirt in one day! I was pretty much switching from my right butt cheek to my left after about 50 miles!

My longest was coming back from my south island trip. Did Nelson to Auckland in one day, with the afternoon spent taking a 'shortcut' through some 26kms of back country gravel roads.

That totaled to 960 kms, started at 5am, finished at 1am, with a 4 hour ferry ride in the middle. After 200kms, the butt kinda just gets used to it.

For those people stuck in thier imperial ways: 960 kms = 596 miles.

I did the Shenandoah 500 (thats 500km not miles) last October. But I went with some locals and we did approximately 100 miles more. I also had about a 25 mile one way commute from where I live to Natural Chimneys camp ground where the ride started from. The total was a shade over 498 mi in two days. It was mostly rocky hard packed forest roads.

Didn't realize I made a controversy... sorry for whatever I did.

Longest single day I think I've rode is 120 or 140 miles, and I did another 80 the next day, so I've had a 200-mile-plus weekend.

The longest I have ridden in one day is about 90+... but that's all dirt, rocks, gravel, sand washes, and single track at maybe 40+ mph max! Reason? Don't really care much for the asphalt lifestyle ... bought it for the dirt bike experience.

I have never experienced much discomfort from the seat, maybe it's because I live on the pegs.

Happy trails,
