I'm thinking about a cloths-pin and a playing card right now until I get the new pipe. [&:] You know, to make it sound like a motorcycle.

The playing cards do last a bit longer than the baloons, but the baloons do sound a whole lot better! [sm=bounceybounce.gif]

In all seriousness, just get a 1/2 inch drill bit and do a bafflectomy. It sounds much less like a Briggs and Stratton that way!

Marty, Should I have what I need to re-jet the carb before I do this? Does it make that much difference in the F/A mixture?

Marty you said that Honda is going to bring a dual sport to the market. Do you know this to be fact? I cant wait to see what the competition brings to compete with the klx 250s! At $4.699 Its going to be pretty hard to top this great bike!! I check the other manufactures sites from time to time to see if any of them are going to bring a new dual sport to the states for 2007, but I didn't find any info yet.

Funny you should mention a Honda DS. A friend of mine has been wanting to buy the KLX for some time now, but today he calls me and says that he heard that Honda is coming out with a street legal 250, now I have to go search and see what's up. Of course it was sold in Oregon, but still it should be out there somewhere right?

I saw a photo of it posted at another forum a few months back but can't find it now. I can't remember if it was thumpertalk or advrider. I've done a few searches but haven't come across it again. It looked very nice - very much like our KLX, only red. This can only be good if Honda comes out with something for the US - means the sub-650 cc DS market in the US might actually get some more attention from the big 4, and thus we might get more choices and aftermarket bling.

Well I did several searches, and I can't find anything, I wonder if that means it was not a big hit, or maybe it was just a Dual Sport kit put on a XR 250R or something like that? The search goes on I guess.

AH HA!!! Ok I did find a few places that claim to have the Honda 250 Dual sport, the first one is in Australia, but here are a few other places that seem to have the bike. It looks exactly like the 650.

Hmmmmm another one in ausi land. Hey Mav maybe you could buy up a fleet of these and re-sell them to the Yanks.

Well it looks like only in Japan or Australia and New zealand.

Good find, Deej. Yeah, that's probably the one posted - only available elsewhere, eh? Maybe after they see that Kawi is eating their lunch over here they'll want in on the action too and send a few our way.
