Yet another new guy checking in. (and competition for the KLX?)
It looks great, but I don't think I will be trading in the little green machine for that. Honda is going to have to do better than that to top the KLX 250s. If Honda made the CRF 250x street legal then we would have some competition!!! I.M.O. @ $4,699 the KLX is a hard bike to beat!![sm=smiley20.gif]

You'd be right!
Ok, back to your question - not sure if it was answered up there or not - about rejetting if you drill your pipe. Yes, you should rejet. Will your bike blow up if you don't? Probably not. But the KLX is lean in stock form, so unless you live at a very high elevation, I wouldn't want to do anything to make it run even leaner. Rejetting is just a few bucks if you source the parts yourself - see the common part numbers thread at the top of this forum and links for the tutorials. And rejetting will make the bike run better. I had my bike for a few months before rejetting - but I did the pipe drilling, rejetting, drilled the vacuum slide port, high flow airbox snorkel, and opened up the crank case vent a bit all at one time. Since they are all related, with the exception of the crank case vent, I'd do them at the same time. I think the total cost for all the parts, including the high flow snorkel with was the most expensive part was less than $50 or $60. Be careful, though. Ever since I rejetted, I've been mod'ing my bike almost constantly since - it's kind've addicting.
