Default Wide Pegs on Ebay - Score One for the Good Guys!

Check it out! We were talking in another thread about modifying the stock footpegs to get a bit of a wider feetbed (ala the IMS Super Stockers). Low and behold I ran across this set of bad boys on Ebay. The seller listed them as stock from a 1997 KLX300R, but I am pretty sure they are aftermarket. According the the parts lists that I have seen, the stock KLX300R pegs are just like ours for the KLX250S and have been as far back as 1997.

Anyway, whether they are stock or aftermarket does not matter. If they fit on a KLX300R then they should fit on our bike.

I should have them later this week, so I will find out for sure. Wish me luck.

?? One has the mount that goes around the kicker, the other goes right to the frame.

Chris, The pegs look good. Thank you for the kouba links, they looked brand new. I'll buy a set of renthal bars so I can raise the front, and put those bad boys on. Jeremy

Cool change, glad you got the links. As for the bars, you have a couple of options. Obviously you won't go wrong with Renthals, but there are a few options that can save you a few bucks. The Tusk line of products at RockyMountainATV.com is first rate stuff at really good prices. Several folks have gotten their aluminum bars recently and have been very satisified, I think. Tusk also offers a cool set of adjustable bar risers that might get you where you need to be, although you probably should replace your bars at some point, so now is as good a time as any.

Anyway, here are links to the bars and risers:

Thanks Chris. Which bars fit ours, and which ones did you get. What do you think off them? Also what did you think about the bike when it was lowered? Thanks, Jeremy
