Default Why no center stand forKLX250?

Is the design of the frame underneath the issue why no after market/OEM center stand is available? Sure would be nice for working on the rear of the bike. I've searched all over and nothing is listed.

Cuz it's half dirt bike. Real dirt bikes don't have any kickstands. Put it on a milk crate.

^yup.

Too little demand and its light enough to put on the milk crate or inexpensive Harbor Freight lift.

All I have to do to answer this question is to look underneath my skidplate and rear linkage parts. I can't imagine how many crashes or destroyed center stands I would have experienced if my KLX had one...well...maybe not. It would have been the first thing off my bike in a heartbeat. Now, someone who could really use/want a center stand might have selected the wrong bike...or...maybe an SF would be more appropriate. Nothing wrong with center stands, but they aren't on some model bikes for good reason.

I found a carefully placed floor jack or even a stick or big rock along with the side stand can bias the bikes balance to pull a front or rear wheel. Sketchy? Yes. Do I do it anyway? Yes. Its no less sketchy then the garbage Track Side MX stand I got from Cycle Gear. If you want a 'trail tool' for when your in a bind, then check out...

For on the trail, it sounds like a "cane jack" is in order...or in the garage, maybe a lever lift. Both are cheap, effective methods.

I like that kane jack, just make one out of 2 telescoping pieces of conduit.
In the garage I just put a cable eye in the ceiling with a 2x4 across the rafters. Works good and can't fall off.
