where can i get black excel wheels/rims?
since im going to eventually get a pair anyway, i figured nows the time for an excuse to go ahead and get a front and rear black excel wheel set. What is the best/cheapest website to order these at? and what size do I need for 2007 klx 250, front and back, respectively?
PS: I heard excel wheels are superior, is this true? and how much would i be looking at for front and rear wheels?

While we're talking about wheels, if one ordered the rims, spokes and hubs, would it be possible for a fairly handy person to lace them on their own if they had a borrowed truing stand?
Tempted to have a set of 17's for canyon carving, but when I saw the $1200 price tag I considered getting a KLX 250SF or a DRZ off craigslist.

The stock rims made my Takasago, although not the Excel model are very good. Why do you need new rims? Are they damaged?
The main advantages of more expensive rims and hubs are due to their light weight Vs the stock wheel.

The KLX250 bikes we ride over here in Japan usually run with a 17x3.00 front and 17x3.50 or 17x4.25 rear, with street tires for the supermoto bikes. The front tire size is 110/70x17 and the rear can go up to 140/70x17. I have seen a few bikes with a longer chain and offset spacing on the spokes with 150/70x17.
