If I scoot back on the seat, rev it up and drop the clutch it will pop right up (in first gear of course) I'm sure a pumper carb and or BB kit would help a lot, but I'm no Doug Domokos

This video's been posted here before:

And that guy's a pro. Nevertheless try this: roll forward slowly in first, stand on the pegs, drive your knees forward to compress the forks, and when the forks rebound grab some throttle and tug up on the bars. With some practice the front wheel will pop right up. It helps, probably, to have the bike geared down a bit, say with a 13T front sprocket.

Default Hi everyone

So, I sold my tricked out KDX 200 last summer, which would pull the front tire off the ground in third gear, so I could buy a 09 KLX 250s. And what a slug it is. I need a jack to get the front wheel off the ground. But it is street legal and it has lots of cool factor so I like it.
Anyway, who needs power? It's so over rated.

A quick dab of the front bake then a handful of throttle has mine skywards.
Easiest technique to learn. Cover the back brake always.
