Get the parts and put them back on. Buy used if you can. It probably is cheaper to buy the stuff from someone here and have it shipped to you if it is the same stuff.

You don't lose any power, in fact if what I have learned over the years, it should possibly add a miniscule amount of power, because the higher exhaust temp keeps up exhaust velocity, aiding in cylinder evacuation. Hot exhaust is not bad. Header wrap and ceramic coating for cars is done for that exact reason, especially turbo exhausts, since high velocity is a turbo's power.

But that aside, since it is probably worthless on a 250, the key point is the only negative to the Kawasaki suction valve pollution control is that it weighs maybe a pound and is a tiny amount of clutter under the tank - nothing in the big picture. Heck, when I did my carb, valves, and MCMed the cams I didn't have the stuff to do the removal easily so I stuck the valve and hoses back on, knowing that bit of weight is nothing to a 250 dual sport. Odds are I will keep doing so since it is no big deal.

So if you need it yearly, get it, put it back on, and leave it on. It isn't worth the effort to remove/replace/remove/replace. No gain without it, no loss with it.

Ah, sorry I didn't get back to ya, had a lot on my plate this week. I did look and only found the hoses which I had cut up to use on something else. Didn't find the plastic valve thing. I guess it got tossed out. If I do come across it, I'll let you know. Sorry for the delay.

I don't know. Maybe look up the part numbers for each year to see if they are the same. It's the only way to tell that I know of.
