What's the stock air/fuel screw setting?
How many turns? I need to possible convert my bike back to stock.
My bike is sitting at the dealer right now. I am finally going to get to the bottom of this stuttering issue. I kept reminding the guy the symptoms have not changed throughout any kind of rejetting or fuel screw setting or idle drop. He is ready to blame it on my jetting. I am ready to blame it on a bike sold to me with the air/fuel cover already drilled. He also is trying to tell me that running the bike on the highway at 7k and 70 mph is too hard on the bike and could be the cause. I'm ready to tell him that his sales guy shouldn't have sold me the bike then because that was something I specifically asked. Yes it's harder on the bike, but it's not too hard. It does it through acceleration anyway.
I'm just venting, because basically, if it's something "I did" then I have to pay for the investigation into what's going on. If it's something with the bike/Kawi, then Kawi pays for everything (still under warranty). I can see it now. "you're jetting is off. we fixed it, that'll be 80 bucks for the inspection and 30 for the rejet". I'll go and ride it, and it maybe it'll do it again. I'll demand a refund because they didn't fix the problem. THEN I'll put on the stock jets and pipes. I'll bring it in when it does it again and THEN we'll have the argument of who did what to the bike, me or the previous owner. After that is over, I will take the stock bike to the GOOD dealer 30 miles farther away.
I hate this dealer. Only reason I brought it here 1st was because this is where I bought it. Wish me luck guys.
Put it this way, cleaning the carb, changing jets, fuel treatment, octane change, iridium spark plug, pipes....and you mean after all that the symptoms are EXACTLY the same as the stock jetting and pipes? Wow I sure nailed that jetting huh? I have a hard time believing this to be mechanical. It is TOO intermittent to be anything but electrical in nature. There are too many people on this board with my same exact setup with no issues.

More information on what the bike is doing, please. I know you asked something else, but if rejetting your bike does nothing then its probably an air leak. I can't beleive the mechanic didn't think of this. I know in my personal experience that dealers are the biggest bike morons out there.
