Yes!! It was a rugby ball! My dog Rusty ate it, but not before he had his way with it.
That's what I like to hear. Not trying to turn it into a racer. I want the extra power to get up over hills and obstacles in the woods. But I admit, the extra power will be nice on the street as well.

Oh noooo! I went to the Kawi dealer today, it was my day off. I wanted to see how they were doing, I dropped the bike off there the Saturday before last. They were to install the fork springs, Kustom Kraft 330, and Michelin AC-10s. They got the last two done no problem, but they couldn't get the fork springs in. They tried to tell me, but they kept calling my landline #, which I don't have hooked up. Last time I had work done I told them to call my cell #, which they did, so I thought they would this time also.
It seems that they could not get the fork springs to fit over the guide on the dampening rod. I tried to call Moto-Pro from the Kawi dealer so they could talk to the mechanic, he was standing right next to me. I got the answering service. They might be on holiday vacation or something. The Kawi garage will be on vacation after tommorrow until January 2nd. They wanted to check out my Dynojet kit again to see if I had some bigger jets, I don't know crap, but I had the kit in my trunk and gave it back to them. I told them to test drive it as much as they want, I just want to be happy when I get it back.
I wanted to say hi to my bike and maybe take a little test drive, but it was very buried in a corner, and it was 15 degrees F or less. But I did get to see it, and I must say, those AC-10 ***** look rather sexy on her. I figured that since it would be a long while before I get to ride her again, I gave the mechanic the Renthal handlebars, Acerbis handguards, and grips to install. I was going to do that myself, but it's so freakin cold, I talked myself out of it. I'll be bikeless for a while, but once the weather gets nice, I think my KLX will be ready to attack the trails.
Oh yeah, I also ordered radiator guards and a skidplate to help protect the bike from my crapulent riding abilities.

to me, what you just described, is like taking one of your blood children to someone else and telling them to do this and that to them, to the best of their ability. I couldn't sleep at night depending on some joemechanic dude that cares not one **** about the bike they're working on, to install mods on my brand new bike, (or used) that I dished out a pretty penny for. And in doing this, depending on their ability to do the mods perfectly. No thank you. Handlebars? come on, you can turn a wrench can't you? I realize not everyone is mechanically adept, but it is just logic. Just do it and save yourself a ton of money. This forum is a wealth of experience and these people know what they're talking about. Oh yeah, this is one of the dumbest threads I've ever read on here. What are we in grade school? Guess what's in the box? No, guess again. guess I'm grouchy. But it is rather a waste of space.

Then when lostnite describes how he is getting his KLX fixed up, you trash him. Nice. Maybe he lives in a Condo with no garage? Maybe he is an accountant and doesn't know the difference between a 9/16" wrench and a pair of needle nose pliers. So what. He has a KLX and he is getting to farkled up, You should offer him encouragement.
He clearly stated he did not have the skills or ability to do the mods, yet you rake him over the coals? Yea, your a real asset to the community. Sometimes its just impossible to ignore you.
Happy Holly-daze !!!
