I think IDRIDR hit most of it on the head. Plus, unless you're heavily invested in a serious career that has some serious money attach to an impending retirement, hit the road and enjoy life.

Hey, I'm interested in hearing about this **** state of Virginia...never heard of that one. I thought that was in California...LOL!

Roadglide. The answer to your question is clear. Flagstaff it is. I'd much rather have less money and be happier, than more money and miserable. And do that girl a favor and let her go so she can find someone who will love her!

Without a doubt, go where your gut tells you, and that seems pretty obvious that it is in Flagstaff. You cannot buy happiness, and spending time around a bunch of fukups is going to bring nothing good. 13k a year is nothing if you aren't happy.

HeavyFuel your right and maybe I care more for her that I really want to admit to myself. I think that's why I'm struggling with this. The pay cut is from $67,500/year to $54,000/year which is significant but I think I can get by.The cost of living in Flagstaff is high but not much worse than Harrisonburg. Most people in Flagstaff are either millionaires that had money when they moved there and don't have to work, or are getting by on less than $54,000. The old saying is "poverty with a view". I lived there for a total 23 years so I know the deal. That damn place just gets in your blood. AZDuece yes I do have a roadglide and it is an awesome long distance tourer. I often ride it from Harrisonburg VA to Sylvan Lake MI in one day that's a touch over 630 miles one way.

Ok couple of things, quoting from Green Acres aint gonna help and it just gave away your age,,,no wonder 22 seems young Secondly tell this gal that you are moving on even if you don't move. The longer you leave a bandaid on the worse it will hurt when she comes off. And lastly, you need to do what makes you happy, some may say that's selfish, but happiness starts with one's self. Good luck man, Keep us informed.
