Default re-geared

Swapped out the 15x39 sprockets for 13x43 in prep for a day of off road fun. Ran to the gas station and the front end just leaps up in a surprisingly easy way. Should have fun in the hills.

I made my own stickers, since the original Kawa stuff looked pretty scraped up. We'll see how they work.

Snappster, with that "gearing", I'm curious if you can get a 2nd gear wheelie when snapped to WOT from 5-6.5k..? Perhaps with a little tug on the bars..?

Default Busted my *** on gravel, left some marks.

Rode around Sherando park near Stuart, VA. Road all the way to the Blue Ridge PKWY from Coal Rd. on the Bald Mountain Jeep Trail. Learned the hard way that front brake use with a 300mm rotor on gravel is asking for trouble. Lucky me, the spot where I crashed had a camping EMT who bandaged me up. Sitting at home now and the stiffness and lumps/bruises are quite acutely telling me I ain't 16 no more. Damn fun day. Did it all on the OEM SF wheels and tires. Must buy full body protection and knobbies for my S wheel set. Dave has a new sport. But can hardly walk now. Video is some other guy riding at the same place. I stalled several times but no crashes on the fun stuff, and unlike this guy I went all the way to the top. Now I need to get my gopro hooked up.

Default New Shoes

Have not been on the bike since mid October. Knee and shoulder rehab going well. Installed new off road DS tires with Tubliss on both my extra wheels this afternoon. Next I need boots and armor so the next time I will hopefully get less damage to the old bod when I fall. This reminds me of the learning curve I went through crashing my mountain bikes.

That bike looks cool without swingarms, how does it handle like that?

Did a motor swap last weekend on the bike, it went well!

Going to check valve clearances this weekend, if the weather lightens up a bit.

Killed the battery trying to start in 0ºF. Plugged the bike in, snowblowed the driveway, then started the bike and rode to work and back. Another 50 miles towards spring. I need to fix my kicker spring.
Tomorrow I'm heading to the car wash to try and rid the bike of salt.
There will definitely be a spring tear down to address the winter rust that has finally bloomed after 3 hard years.
Might install a fuse block this weekend to help control the excess wiring at the battery.
I also need to find a rear axle, which seems to be unobtanium from anywhere, except used sites.

Funny you should say that cause I think I have one laying around when I picked up my second set of wheels/tires
