Default What do you do for a living

I'm curious as to what everybody does for a living. Especially you guys & gals who live out in the small towns. Currently, I work in the IT department of a Major accounting firm and have been for about 6 years. Before that I worked for Pep Boys for about 3 years as a service manager and before that I worked for Napa for 5 years as a Class A Counterman. Before that was odd jobs and a stint in the U.S. Air Force. Tell us what do you do for a living.

I am the third generation in a family owned auto repair shop> I've been working here scince before i Graduated high school.
I wanted to race professional motocross for a living but ,family took priority, plus it hurts alot less to watch it on TV

I am a chemical engineer, but I don't really do engineering anymore. I am the Process Development Manager for a company that makes point-of-purchase displays. If anyone has heard of Six Sigma, I use that approach to improve and create new business and manufacturing processes.

Before taking this job, I lived in Finland where I was designing a furnace to melt glass to make optical fiber. Before that I lived in the Southeast US working in the textile and optical fibers industries.

Before that I was pretty much worthless. The verdict is still out on whether or not that has changed over the years.

This should be interesting to see where everyone draws their experiences. It seems from previous discussions that there is a pretty diverse group of folks on here. Thanks for getting this started LV.

Yep, I know that feeling. I have a ball and chain sitting next to my computer at the house.

I am currently the Store Manager for a Custom Wheel and tire store, with Lift Kits, Lowering kits, etc...

Befoore I went back to this, I drove OTR Truck for quite a while. Came back home not long ago to spend some overdue time with the family.

I was a Napa counterman also Lord.... Worked as a ASE Parts Certified tech also at CSK as the Commercial manger, and at Carquest.

Before that was an ASE Certified Auto Tech at The Ford House.

Sold cars in the mix for a while also. Too honest for that Job tho.
