What boots do you wear riding?
I need to get me some riding boots, however I would like something thats good for street and dirt. Im considering the new 50/50 style Thor boots http://www.gmo1.com/Thor_50_50_Boot_p/3410-0214pu.htm
I need something I can wear on the street TO the trails without looking like an urban gorilla, but yet still provide the protection I need [sm=insomnia.gif]

I've been looking at these, they also have some type of insert for wide footpegs.http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...t--610074.html

Here is what I have, but I usually just wear if I'm going to do some serious off road riding. Fox Tracker
Here's what I wear around town.

Thanks guys. Im probably asking for too much, but I really would like a boot that fit under jeans so I could wear it riding to the store/work and that was also good enough for the trails (protection wise), something comfortable for all day ya know.

just go to wal-mart and buy you some steel toed boots made of leather that lace up to your ankles. this will provide you with enough protection imo for most non motocross riding conditions and im sure they make them waterproof if you so choose that too. in mx, you need all the protection you can get since there are other riders and bikes trying to beat you no matterthe cost. also, make sure the boot has a steel shank in the sole. you'll be good to go and most will fit under jeans and save your frame and case paint on your bike.
of course there is no better protection than full on motocross boots i will concede. but some like me don't want that type of bulk when dual-sporting. it's all in what type of protection you want in regard to comfort and riding conditions.

I wear my steel toe work boots now, but with the steel toe I just cant get the feel Im looking for. I only do trail riding, this bike isnt MX material imo. I currently ride on the street about 10 miles to get to my favorite trails and sometimes I stop at the local stores so this is why I was looking for one all-around boot. I think Im gonna give the 50/50's a try.

i just looked at those thor 50/50 boots and my opinion is that they don't look very durable. the leather looks very soft and the sole looks glued onto the boot. i know pictures don't do anything justice but just by looking at them they don't look very strong.
