I would have thought the shop would have found any problems with any of those. Don't get me wrong, it may well indeed be the cam chain, I'd just proceed with caution. Maybe do what I suggested - take it up a notch and see if it goes away. If it doesn't, immediately reset the tensioner by removing it and reinstalling it in the proper order (body first, spring and bolt second).

I know you just got it back and dont wont to part with it again, but the first thing i would do is put it back in the truck and take it back
to the mechanic, that doesnt sound right.

Well one person at thumpertalk said that his bike was at the dealer for pretty much the same noise, and he said they reaplaced all kinda crap, cams, pistion, wrist pin.. he said he finally just bought a new timing chain and put it in and the noise was gone...

but with so little mileage? am i going to have to put a new timing chain on ever 4000 miles? i dont know if i want to try that... damn thing is still under warranty... i shouldnt have to do that, or pay for that.... wtf....
timing chain is like 90$.....
