Hey DeeJ, I had an old bike that had a wander in her, and it ended up being a loose spoke on the wheel...

Deej have you checked the front forks maybe one leg is retaining more pressure then the other. I had a traking issue where the front wanted to follow every groove in the pavement I checked air pressure and every thing then I remembered I had not bled the forks of air. After doing so problem solved. When i cracked the bleed screw on the right fork I could here the hiss of the air relieving but on the left side not a sound.
Hey Deej. Have you changed tires? My bike wanders at slow speed..such as slowing for a stop light, or riding in slow traffic..and it's caused by the more aggressive knobbies that are on the Excellas. It also really helps if I keep them inflated to full psi, which is 33psi for my tires.

Hmmmm good thought, the steering bearing......I will investigate, anyone have a torque spec on that one?

Kawasaki typically does not provide a torque spec for tightening the steering head stem bearings. Basically, not too tight, not too loose, just like Goldilocks would approve of - just right!
If you have the steering head bearings too tight, the bike will tend to wander and never find it's heading. If they are too loose, you can feel it on bumps and on some models it has been known to cause headshakes.
There are so many different ways that folks will tell you to set the tightness on the steering head bearings, that you will only get more confused.
Now, I'll bet that when you open them up, you'll find them as dry as the desert. I know that mine were, along with the complete rear suspension. I usually tear a new bike apart and get out the grease can when I first bring one home.
Speaking of grease, my wife's new XT 225 has grease fittings on the swing arm, Yamaha was thinking on that one. I want to add them on the KLX, that would be nice, instead of tearing it apart all the time. Plus I love how easy the spark plug is to get out of hers. Hey speaking of spark plugs, I have almost 2900 miles on the Green Lantern, should I just change the plug for good measure? Is it a once a year thing? Oh and here is an interesting picture just for fun.
