Default Vortex Throttle and 09 KLX

Hey folks, for people that have installed the Vortex Throttle, what did you do about your kill switch and starter buttons? I'm interested in buying this throttle. I've searched about it on this forum, but I haven't found anything in regards to the kill/starter for the 09's. Thanks!

There is nothing that needs to be done with either. It's a direct remove and replace. Just put the throttle on and ride.

Well I ask about this because space is at a premium on my bars at the moment. I can't slide the throttle assembly over anymore, brake lever attachment gets in the way. I went ahead and ordered the throttle, I guess I'll see soon enough.

I appreciate the reply.

if you have to you can cut down the outside of the tube and the grip. not sure if i'm understanding your issue so i'm just throwing that out there.

I recieved the vortex for my 09 but the throttle cable is different than the 07 and wont work, i tried using the return cable but it had to much play despite the adjustment. anyways I just ordered the 07 throttle cable and have my fingers crossed.

I still haven't installed my Vortex throttle. I have not found a replacement for the kill/starter switch- there is simply not enough room on my bars. I could cut the end of the throttle but that would change the grip position, not an option.

http://www.4strokesonly.com/new.html

Something like the Handlebar Universal Switch for 7/8 bar would work, but I've been busy lately. It says universal, but I'm not convinced it will work.

My bike is an 09. Simply replacing the stock throttle with the vortex will not work. I will lose my starter button and I have no kickstart.
