Vapor Speedometer Pickup Mount
On a recent outing, I noticed that the trip meter of my Trailtech Vapor computer wasn't racking up the miles. Then I saw that the speedometer wasn't working or was intermittent. At the next rest stop I discovered that I had bashed the fork guard and the portion of it where I had the speedometer pickup was busted off. I tied back the dangling piece with a zip tie and figured I'll make the repair once I got home.

In looking at the bottom of the fork, I see a couple of unused threaded holes that I can make use of. I have some angle aluminum laying around that I can fabricate a bracket out of it.

After cutting, measuring, drilling, tapping and filing, here's what I ended up with:

Two shots of it mounted on the bike:

...and with the plastic guard back on:

It turned out pretty well and it's very sturdy. I think it will survive another bashing.

Nice fab work man, I love this place. Everywhere we turn someone is finding a way to make us all smarter about our bikes. Kudos to you.
Now all you need to do is mass produce it for all of us here on the forum and your work is complete!..........................Just kidding
. Very nice job man!
Cheers!
