Default Valve Adjustment

So it's about that time for my first valve adjustment... theyre starting to rattle a bit and I've never adjusted valves on any bike before... thought i'd ask here for some instructions considering i don't have a copy of the service manual for my 2009. Any help will be appreciated! thanks again guys

edit: found a copy of the service manual on here, any advice helps though!

This may seem silly to say but there was a recent thread here if you search for valve in the title thread...

I am with TNC. You may need it but I think things like lower power and or harder starting or just time is a good reason to do them.

Ya, loose valves are happy valves. Check the rattle's rpm and if it's in the vicinity of 5500 rpm your probably talking cam chain noise.
