I just put the studs on last week and have rode through more than one snowsquall already.
I ride all winter, what bums me out is coming out of work at 5pm and it's pitch black and I have to ride home with not enough light....need to figure that out.
I have a suggestion to fix your lighting issue my friend, cheap and efficient if you don't mind adding a little light on your front fender, I bought this little light of Ebay a few years back, (pretty sure it was this one) and it lasted me a good 2 years until I sold the bike. Used it on my KX80 2 stroke and never broke or even stopped the light. Thinking of getting one for the KLX aswell but right now my ZX9r is on my mind for the winter

Cool, I was looking at the same thing but 2-3 x the price. How is the light output? How far does it shine? What I really need is light off to the sides, so I can see the damn moose. As big as they are, they can be almost impossible to see.
With an LED headlight and that light, I can run a vest as well as my gloves and insoles!

Well, I realized I had a PayPal balance of $60, so I ordered the $49 dollar version...

I got the one with floods on the side, to help see the moose, I hope.
I'll get it some time between 12/1 and 1/1/15...guess I have time to fab up some mounting hardware for over the headlight.

Awesome let me know how it looks on your KLX, I recall on my KX80 a bit funny because the bike was so small but the KLX is full size. The cheap version I sent you on my KX was as bright as a top notch (actually did a side by side comparison with a Nextech Industries vs mine from Ebay) the Ebay one went just a tad shorter then the Nextech. The Ebay one is just made and feels a bit cheaper but I took the thing through hell and it just got scratched up but never died on me.

Not sure if this is going to be enough light (6 X 4.5W LED), but check out what I did for less than $20: (I mostly did it to be able to see in the dark in the woods on tight single track - I don't need to see very far down the trail, but need to see right in front of me)
