ODS, I used to live in Helsinki, Finland. They know a thing or two about winter there. They have a saying that relates to our situation (I am going to commute all winter on my bike). They say, "there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes". Basically it's the Boy Scout motto "be prepared".
