Todays short ride
Zip tied a camera perch to my handlebars today and went for a solo ride over the river n through the woods. The trails are heavily covered with wet leaves so it's a bit dicey. Slippery trails and very steep dropoffs 3 ft from trailside keep me cautious so there's no speed demon tricks or stunts just some nice scenery. There is some BUZZZZZZZ amplified through the camera since it's basically lashed to my front brake. It actually did pretty well.
I think this will work. Fingers crossed.

Our street blacktop ends about 50 yds down the road and turns to 1 lane gravel. Between here and the waterfall it turns back and forth from gravel to short stretches of blacktop, clay, course gravel, dirt and grass. This time of year all covered with dead leaves. The inclines don't show up too well but there are alot of grades, sharp curves and surface changes.
We are just at the boundry of Pisgah and Nantahala national forests and I think some of the "improvements" were done by the parks dept. The actual boundries aren't very well established. You can't really tell in the vid unless you look close but there are four places where I crossed a creek. Somebody had to build those crossings. I assume the Parks guys did.
There are 1800 miles of trails and logging roads in Pisgah forest alone. No unlicensed dirt bikes or 4 wheelers aloud. Licensed vehicles, mountain bikes and horses are OK but try to get a car or truck in some of these places.
DUAL SPORTS RULE!!!!
I have a Canon power shot 400 that is the shiz. I love this camera. Had it for 3 or four years and drag it around everywhere. It takes quite a beating sometimes but keeps going. It's small enough to fit in an altoid tin so it's very pocket friendly too.
