My riding is predominately pavement with some dirt/gravel roads in the mix to keep it interesting. No trails or rough stuff. Almost like my KLX250S is a small version of a KLR650. In fact, someday I will likely upgrade to that model.

I haven't had any problems with the D605's on my bike so far (only 800+ miles) but am thinking of the time when they will need to be replaced. Does anyone have experience with or knowledge of the MEFO (German company) tire model MFE 99 Explorer? I ran across them on a quick tire search and am interested. Looks like there are sizes to fit the KLX250S.

They seem a little expensive but when it comes to price per projected mile (7,000+ miles) of use, they look pretty good.
