to go with the above question, im curious as to what the stock tires are? are they 50/50 also? with the crappy performance of the tires in dirt knowing what they are will give me an idea of what i need to be looking for when im buying the next set.

Stock tires are Dunlop 603's. Mine wore to 25% at 2200 miles, I am currently running the Dunlop 606 and as far as I can tell its wearing the same. On the poker run Sunday, Tony and Scott had a bridge-stone tire that looked like a 50/50 tire, and as I watching from behind on the gravel roads I never really saw them slipping around like I was, it just may be my next tire after the new set of Kenda K-270's. They had good things to say about it. Maybe they could give us the tire information.

The Kenda 270 is a fine tire. I put about 1000 miles on mine before changing out to the more off-road Kenda 760. My only complaint with the Kenda 270 is that, IMHO, the compound is a bit too hard and that makes it slick on the roads, and especially so on wet pavement. It kind'a scared me a little on wet pavement. The silver lining to that is that it wears very well and will last a long time. My 1000 mile'ers are barely worn. My stock Dunlop 603's were nearly bald at 1500 miles.

I think Tony already commented on the Bridgestones, check here: https://www.kawasakiforums.com/fb.asp?m=55199

Well as I have stated somewhere before, I started out with the 603, and now have on the 606, and on wet blacktop, trails, dry roads, gravel, and dirt, I have never felt like the tires let me down. I just checked the mileage on the bike and compared it to the mileage when I changed the tire, and I can't believe it already, I have 837 miles, and the tires are only 30% worn, so while the 606 is a good tire, I am still going to check out the Bridgestone that Tony and Scott are running.
