Whats a good 50/50 tire, or at least a tire thats good off road but wears good on road? and is there a conversion for the tire size they give you or do you have to use it they way that it is?
ex. 3.00-21 is a 80/100-21

I just traded my OE knobbies for Avon Distanzia 90/90-21 120/80-18. I think they are great but I literally only have about 50 miles on them (insert sad smiley here). I do way more on road then off.
As far as the size, there are a bunch of different combos but I personally would stray too far from my size above. This site might help you a little but there are many more sites like this. http://www.webbikeworld.com/Motorcyc.../tire-data.htm
That is a skinny back tire in your example.

Hey BigGreen, I got the exact same tires from ronayers.com the last time I was home but, I haven't put them on yet. How do you like them so far? I live on a dirt road but, I figure I'll be doing more on road than off, too. Also, what tubes are you running in those? I've found tons that'll fit the front but only some Metzeler's to fit the rear.

Front sizes that will work:
3.00x21
80/100x21
90/90x21
Rear sizes:
4.60x18
4.50x18
100/100x18
110/90x18
120/90x18
Those are just equalivent sizes to stock. There are more. I run the Kenda K270 in sizes 3.00x21 & 4.50x18. They are lasting a long ways. I currently got more than 4,500 miles on them with 80% being street use. And they still have a ways to go before being worn out. I suspect they may last up to 6~8K miles.

No dumb questions or statments on the forum....it could be tubebliss or tireballs or even tennis ***** in there....which work quite well btw. But conventional tubeless it is not cause all your air would leak out where the spokes go.
I take it someone put the tires on for you .... may I suggest, and yes I will
Buy some tire irons and learn to change your own tires...so you can patch them if you ever get a flat.

Kenda 270's are the best 50/50 tire for the style of riding that I do!
They are some what cheap in price compaired to other tires and I have gotten 10,000 miles out of this set...getting ready to change out the front tire once they come in but I still have life left on the back tire so I am going to run with it for a while...
It all depends on what type of riding you do...What works the best for me on my bike might not be good for you on yours...

+1 for the Kenda K270. Best 50/50 tire for the money, IMO, and they last forever! I run the 4.50 rear which is pretty much the stock size but the 5.10 will fit. My only knock is the hard rubber compound seems easy to lock up on the street.
