Anyone running a 2009 or later KLX with a Mikuni 36-68 pumper with the stock cable? I am at the point of routing the throttle cable. Can it run under the tank across above the cam cover with the stock cable? I have it routed there, but may be tight when turning right. Any help with cable routing is appreciated. I have a cable kit to make a new cable, but it seems the stock cable is close to working. I know the pre-09 had to have a longer cable, but don't know about this setup.

I had Motion-Pro make an extended cable for me because I use 2" bar risers.

 

At $110 for a cable Motion Pro was a non-starter, since I can make a cable from a $16 kit. I just hate cutting up the stock cable to do the job... but probably will have to, to get that little plastic fitting that fits into the throttle housing.
