Default for those of you that question long rides on the freeway

i just did 940 miles in 4 days, the first and last days where 300 miles of super slab going 70 mph. 170 mile off road days in between. now only if the bike didnt eat my back packs. oh ya, top speed of the weekend was a indicated 97 mph, so an honest 90. for pics http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...postcount=1162.

Ouch! Looks like a stock seat. How long after the ride were you able to walk upright? I can't sit more then an hour on the stock brick.

Just wondering, is there anything to keep in mind for longer distances? Are there any particular jobs that should be done before/after?

Rain gear and plastic bags. Bicycle shorts and gold seal powder if you plan to use the stock seat.

ya stock seat. found you can kick your legs up on the acerbis tank though to that helps for a little. as far as things to do before hand for a trip, probally just the normal stuff (oil, filters (oil and air), chain, ect). one problem, i droped the bike pritty hard in the sand and now the bike doesnt signal left, but does right, any suggestions on what gives.

I added two long side pads to my seat , then road 831 miles and 17.5 hours home from chama nm to tulsa! Yes it was hard to walk the next day! Thats all on one day!
