Default supermoto 250s or get rid of it?

I want to put the supermoto kit on my 09 klx 250s. I really wish i wouldve got a supermoto in the beginning. the kit is 1200 from procycle though. thats a lot, but i could do it if i sold my ttr 230. I don't really like the 250s and i dont think i would like the sf either

or do u guys think i should just trade my bike in for another and spend the extra cash? I can't get a street bike because i am only 17 and insurance is to crazy.

I don't have a title for this bike, its not paid off. So I couldnt trade it to someone for a supermoto right? or trade it in to the same shop i bought it for a different bike?

ugh im just lost and upset. please help. Thanks

Why don't you like 250's? And why don't you think you will like the SF?

at only 17 i would say a 250cc is more than enough and wouldnt worry about getting anything else for a while. mod mod and mod what you got.
1 keeps your insurance low
2 teaches you to work on bikes
3 bike grows with you

You can trade it in to any dealer but since you still owe money on it I doubt any of them will go for it. I'd go talk to the dealer you bought the bike from to see what they can do for you. Don't expect much though.

I'm curious too, what don't you like...what are you looking for in a street bike? Personally I would keep it and mod it as suggested, for an 09 you've already lost abou two grand anyway. Don't add insult to injury.

The best way to go. Keep the bike and grin and bare it. Ride that for a couple years and pay it off, then move up to the next level.

+1 Its too late now, at first I was a little dissappointed with the power and how easy the bike is moved about on the freeway. But then I remembered its only a 300# 250 and naked too! Then I put about a thousand bucks into it (exhaust Etc. Etc.) and I love it. I can absolutely run away from other bikes in the twisties! This includes sport bikes. It is all about riding ability. But this is not the bike for you if your wanting to pull stand up wheelies @ 80 on the freeway! But it tears up staircases and pedestrian overcrossings!

The bike is soooo much better off the road than on it. Go get it dirty, you'll be smilin' from ear to ear for hours .

I agree with you somewhat...but not on keeping the bike. If you can sell it for the most you can. Perhaps selling aftermaket stuff and such, put stock stuff back on.

Get a drz sm USED.....cheap insurance, although a lot faster than a klx, you will work and mod her to make her faster. You could mod her to get 50 hp cheap.

I would own a drz except I think they suck in soft sand.......super moto....I'd be all over a drz unless I could afford a ktm.

I agree with Oz. If you were in the dirt more you would really see what you have
