sullydirt - How Was Your Ride ? ? ?
sullydirt,
It was good to hear from you on Saturday. Wanted to come out and ride, but I had just gotten back from working MSF school that morning and the wife had some things that I needed to do. I do appreciate all the freedoms she provides to me, and want to keep it that way.
Hope the map was useful and you had a great ride.
When I originally read your location, I thought Palm Bay, not Palm Coast. There's a lot of areas up in Palm Coast to explore too, either that or I'm wrong! From a map, there appears to be a whole area there ready to be ridden.
Perhaps one day we can get together and do some exploring.

Hey Marty,
Thanks for the map, I had a great day of riding. I have some pictures I was going to upload, but haven't had a chance yet. It looked like I was going to get caught in the rain, but the bike gods must have been watching over me. I was surprised how those dirt roads were actually marked and they showed up on my GPS. I came across a huge black snake about half way through and he looked pissed.
Here's one picture I took of an old house. Do people live in these? I was surprised to see them out there and more surprised to see they had A/C.
Yep, I'm in Flagler County. There are a lot of dirt (sand) roads here, come on up sometime.

Here are some more Pics:
Water crossing. It was nice to see a water crossing with a rock bottom. Most that I come across in FL are sand and if you don't keep moving it will swallow you like Inca.

Same location as above, different angle. This was the first time I used the Fender Bag. I had my favorite 1/4" ratchet along with some metric sockets, and wrenches. Anyway, I lost the bag somewhere after this point. If you come across it Marty you can have the bag just gimme the tools man.

From those pictures I think I know exactly where you were!
If I find the fender bag, it and the tools will be coming back. Glad you have a grand time. There are a lot of places to visit in the ONF, you have just been to a small portion of it. There are almost 400,000 acres. It stretches for miles in all directions from where you were! I love the KLX for riding in it.
The interesting thing is that I left the store you called me from about 30 minutes prior to you calling!
Yes, we need to get together and do some riding up in Flagler county!

Some sort of an old quarry? You can see in this pic, the fender bag is gone. I didn't notice at the time or I would've back tracked a bit. (I probably lost it in the same spot as that big snake).
