I Found a .023" shim that I installed on the needle
I figure I'm safe shimming at least that because of lean needles are on all stock bikes.
I read that someone installed a 135 main jet on a stock bike....from a 128
Having a hard time believing 3 main jet jumps on a stock bike ?
Same guy installed a #40 pilot over the stock 35.
Any one with an educated guess here before I stick it back on ?
1000 ft. Above sea level
Any help appreciated.

Your situation is easy. If your bike is 100% stock, you are going to leave it that way, and you are not going to get the DJ kit and install standard DJ stage 1, then use your shim on your needle, use the stock or a bigger main jet (the K135 should be just fine.) - Or just put it all back stock.. It really won't make much difference.

Your bike, @ 100% stock, will go from Zero to Hero with the MCM(Marcelino Cam Mod) + DJ2152 kit wtih a stage 1 or stage 2 install.

Or use the KLX300 parts listed numerous times in this and other forums. I have the gist of it in the Cheap Mods link in my signature. Uses standard Kiehin parts from Kawasaki. My brother and I both found the information in searches.

You could get the adjustable needle. Shimming the stock one is a pain. I did mine, then went to the KLX300 needle. My brother did his 2006 and I my 2009 with the listed bits.
