I suppose through these problems, everybody and anybody that reads these threads could practicaly solve any problem within 10 minutes or so BRILLIANT!
So this weekend will be spent ripping it up, burning rubber or what ever you call it - might even post some pics.

That's awesome man, I have not had any down time with my bike, well, except getting a new cam shaft, but it was raining anyway. Glad to hear you are out there enjoying what we all take for granted sometimes. Way to go!!
Awesome! Ride-on

So the one you put in, is it just borrowed for now? or is it there to stay? I would like to know what one of these units costs if it ever fails. That is scary that it just went like that..better that it happened in the garage than out in the woods though.
And I wonder what may have caused it (if anything)?

Morning fellas, so I think I forgot to mention that I am on a small Island called Roatan in Honduras - Central America -and here the temp is normally around 85-87 and so when riding hard I am sure that the engine and surronding area will get very hot! However the CDI unit is located at the back of the bike away from any heat.....? baffled I am...????
Anyway the CDI unit Ihave, is on the to stay, thats not coming off! It was borrowed but the bike it came off of is hardly used, the chap who owns is never here and the bike just sits the garage.
The dealer in which thebike came from emailed me back and said that I would have to send it back and then they would forward it on to Kawi then they would send me a new one or refund my $$$- but in the mean time I would have had to buy a new one approx cost $335.00 was the cheepest I found.
so all in all I am quids in and the bike is running, I will sort out the old CDI unit and replace it on the other bike.,
Again cheers for the support.
