Some people just have bad days I suppose, and I also suppose that his bad day caused a ripple effect in the time space continuum, and now he hates us

I hate to say it , but I've seen him have a few other "bad days" like this over on ADV.
I hope he gets over it, and checks back in.

I would bet it's the rust particles from the backfire screen messing up the carb. Once he cuts out the screen and gives it a good cleaning it should all work fine. You guys need to stop being so nasty to people. It hurts my feeling. (My wife say I only have one, but I doubt it) I'm sure Rob is just frustrated with the bike. Once he fixes it, he'll be back to throw some poop back over the fence.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Yeah, frustration gets people worked up, some more than others. But really, I don't remember any hurtful comments in this thread up until TNC's jesting comment about a lot of whining and getting a KTM.

Yep...ask Dan...I'm a mean, cruel, hurtful SOB...and I enjoy pulling the wings off of butterflies.

I used to staple gun them to the fence boards and then used my dad's propane torch to burn them alive, but that was along time ago in 2012.

I was just reading Rob's update on adv. Sounds like he got it fixed. Hopefully he'll check in here and share.

I got to say after reading his update too, I will not take something apart without a parts diagram, unless I know for certain I can reassemble successfully with my eyes closed.
Especially a carb, I just don't work on them that often to know, for certain.
Taking it apart, no problem. Not so good with the reverse, at least not without a picture book.
But I'm stupid that way.
Glad he got it fixed.
