Default sputter/miss at high RPM

My 09 has had a sputter at high RPMs ever since I bought the bike new, 10 month ago.
When winding out the gears, 1st and 2nd seem ok, but 3rd through 5th it starts sputtering between 7 and 10K. Sometimes it kicks, as if it missed a power stroke. Uasualy when it sputters, It's like it is still firing, just not well.
I have been through every jet in the dynojet kit, snorkle on/off, airbox lid off,
different needle settings. replaced spark plug.
Could it be sensor, igniter, coil?
The bike is still under warranty, but I have no confidence in my local dealer finding or fixing this problem.

mine sputtered on freeways at high rpm...even shut off once...i had to disable my kickstand kill switch...take seat off...cut the two wires leading to the kickstand....splice the wires together...kickstand kill switch disabled...solved the problem for me...

I just did the regulator ground wire mod. and went for a ride. About 5 min into the ride I went full acceleration through the gears. There were no misses, but just a little sputter at high revs. Since it is only 40 deg. today, I decided to ride around for another 10 min to make sure the engine was up to temp and repeat the test. This time no misses or sputter.
I will do some riding this week end to be sure. But, its looking good.

are you referring to the black and yellow wire that goes to the regulator if so, when you grounded are you grounding the wire that stays in the wire harness or are you running the black and yellow wire from the regulator to to a ground on the motor thank you appreciate any help. Have a good day.
