Thats great Dave, how did you like the new bars and grips?
I like the look and they feel pretty sturdy, had to cut some off the ends of the grips to get everything to fit......but I like the thicker grip alot.

2k1w=no$.....
I'm still using the stock 14 tooth, figure I'll keep that for now.
Love the new set-up

Dave

Jb, the kenda trakmaster front is 100/80-21 but it just feels and looks slimmer.....not sure if it actually is because the new tire conversion doesn't give an exact measurement, it's 3.00/3.75 so that little bit of difference could make up the slimmer tire????? You can tell just by eyeballing the 2 tires side by side, but it's not much.

Mole, I got the mirrors at http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...amp;division=6
Make sure to order two, they do not come in pairs.
I like them very much. They fold away real easy, wont snap off in a fall and don't shake at high speeds.
You can also adjust how far the mirror sits on the arm.......real nice mod for the money. That site and rockymountain get most of my business......good shipping and selection.

Iowaguy........of course I'm happy with that, concidering how easy it was to wake the bike up alittle. I'm really too skeptical about doing any carb work as I am not at all mechanically inclined and if I can get some more pep from such a non invasive procedure.......why not???no???
Now I'm sure a new pipe and free mods will wake her up even more,I'm glad where I got the bike from day one till now. Actually REALLY REALLY HAPPY!!!!!!!
Now if you wouldn't mind coming up here to NJ and doing all the remaining mods.....I would feel obligated to set you up for the night and feed you steaks and beer once job is complete!!!
Just gotta figure out how to explain the situation to the bride............

Yup the metric tire size is confusing. I wish there was an online conversion calculator where you could type in your standard size and it gives you the metric. I have searched and found 2 charts, but both were different. Im working on a 79 RM400 and it has a 3.00x21 front and a 5.10x18 rear and I sure would like to know the equivalents.

Hey Dave the bike looks great. I have the same mirrors, and they are awesome. Someone here mentioned that you only need one mirror, be careful, there are different requirements in different states. Here in Washington it looks like you need both, here is a good website that lists all of the requirements. It does look like in NJ you only need one mirror. http://home.ama-cycle.org/amaccess/l...t.asp?state=dc Still a good reference.

Thanks Deej..............I forgot where I saw that at. Now it's saved.

Can you believe there are pretty much no restrictions for off road and not many for road travel in NJ. I could actually remove one mirror and all blinkers too. But for saftey's sake I'll leave all as is............However, I may entertain the idea of one mirror. Which one should I leave off? I'm thinking to leave the left off because the right is attatched already to other stuff. When I break that one, I can put the spare onlike somebody here mentioned already!!!!
This may happen now the more I think about it.
