Yea that front fender looks like its only on the front and not protecting the engine anymore. How would I install a mudflap to keep off the mud if there isn't even a fender there?

 

The XT250 actually has 2 separate front fenders. One bolts to the triple clamps and points forward, and a little one bolts to the fork stanchions and covers the back of the tire. The little fender only sits about 1/2" off of the tire like a street bike. Strange.

 

Ohhhhhhhh I see it now, man I didn't even see it!!! Wow....weird. looks like a place for mud and sticks to get caught.

 

good choice. we bought one for my better half last year. best thing about the xt225 is its enginered to bend not break when dropped... everything "pops" free or bends when and if ya biff on it instead of breaking. well enginered little machine.

 

I had a Honda trail 90 for my wife. About 20 years ago she did a chest plant into a patch of cactus and that was the end of that. I laughed, she couldn't see the humor in the looking like a porcupine wise crack. Go figure.

 

I almost bought an XT for myself, but then I came to my senses and got the KLX. Boy am I glad I did!
