Default Smog air injection block off plate--checking interest

I have my bike apart for a big bore. Tomorrow I was going to take the ait injection cover plate that we all have to cap into a machine shop & have a plate made--no more rubber caps. Since I was probably having one made for me I was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying one if I had extras made & offset my big bore costs some. I would estimate cost to you of $20 shipped anywhere in lower 48. The price & idea in its entirety is up in the air & depends on several factors.

Anyone interested?

I'd be interested too. How do you plan to seal everything up? Keep the reed valve and have the block-off plate go over it, or use a gasket?

On mystreet bike (I bought plates off a forumn that had them made just like what I want to do) I had to keep the reedplate because it had a rubber seal built in. The 250S though uses a gasket against the head, the reed valve plate, another gasket, then the cover--so we can toss the reed plate entireley. If I get it done I plan on just reusing one of the stock gaskets as both mine came off without tearing. If the reed plate was kept the cover would have to have two relief holes as the two screws that hold the reed to the reed plate slightly stick out. But I think just a gasket then the new cover, no reed plate, is the simplest & cleanest. Prob need shorter bolts. Ill let you know if I get it done.

It is a go. They will be ready Tuesday or Wednesday. I am having 15 made. I have only been estimated a cost to me soI can only estimate you a cost ($20). If you want to be on the list for one please post below. This list does not mean you are obligated, I will post pictures & a for sure price before I start asking for money & expect anyone to be fully committed. The list is just for first come first served reasons. If you want to pass after seeing the pics & for sure price you can. So far I have.

1. Me
2. JB7
3. RC927

The other posts seemed to be unsure at this point, just post again if you want to be on the list.
