Oh yea! I got the extended version Wednesday night. Installed it Thursday in about 15 minutes. Great looking plate. I am sooo... glad I didn't pay the local fab shop 250 clams to build me a CRD look alike.
Can you post a couple pics of the "extended version"?

I asked Mike G. before I ordered if he could provide some pics, but he said they didn't have tefer's bike anymore, so the differences would be pretty hard to see. (I went with the standard version, so I'm just curious to see what I missed out on.)

BTW - I was hoping for a "CRD wannabe", too, but I'm really happy with the USC plate. What do you think?

Thanks!
I'd like to see some pictures of the extended version too! Me too.

Got it! Installed it! Love it! Thanks USC!!!

Well bite my shorts!

Why is it that you get your KLX250 before me and now you get your skidplate before me.

It ain't fair I tell ya'!

So, is it all that you hoped for?

LOL. Comes with living a stones throw from the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport.

I love the skid plate. Top quality and easy to install. Well worth the money.

BMWHD,

Well, it might not be a CRD, but it is one heck of a fine looking skidplate.

I am very happy with the product that USC developed for us. It is just what the little bike needs as it will be using it.

On my trips to North Carolina, I know I ride a lot of gravel forest roads. I'm sure there were times when things got a bit close to the case of the motor. Now I have something to protect the case.

The KLX is used to ride some pretty interesting areas up there.

To all that made this happen . . . . . .

Hmmm, not bad! Thanks for the pics.

Did the extended version fit up snug all around, or did it flex on the one side when you tightened it up?

Mike at USC did say that the plate might be at a slight angle due to the frame coverage on the right side. This is the only difference between the two and I tend to lean toward "Over Kill".
I do not notice any angle, or flexing upon tightening, and I am very happy with the fit and the much needed engine and frame protection. I am now ready to ride the Rockies with reckless abandon.
