Default sign of a battery going bad?

I put 1100 miles on the bike in the first 3 weeks. This week there was a lot of rain so i barely had it out. A few miles on tue a few miles on Thursday and today(saterday) I took it out for a short ride to an event.

As I recall the bike may have cranked slow then started when I took it out & I noted what time it was no my way to the event. A few hours later when I left I jumped on the bike and it did not even try to start(like the kick stand was down while in gear) So I took it out of gear and still did not try to start. Then I noticed the kill switch was in Kill position. Bike started fine. But wnen I looked down at the time it showed 2:33 Quick check showed the trip a and trip b had reset to 0 miles.

Anyone ever have the clock and trip meters reset without killing or disconnectiong the battery? Is this a warning sign maybe the foltage got a little too low when the bike was craning?

At first I thought that they had reset when I was leaving the event but if so it should have reset the clock to 12:00

It really seems like they reset when I got to the event and shut the bike off which makes no sense to me.

Yes key was out of the bike when at the event but it does stay in the bike when its parked inside.

Cheers Jim

does not sound like a battery.
usally a dieing battery will have low voltage and amps

sounds like you batter connections are loose and/or dirty. that what i would check first.
