Side stand switch eliminator bypass

Side stand switch eliminator bypass
Hi,
First post to this thread.
Bought an '09 KLX250s a few months ago, and last week
the side stand snapped off. Not particularly keen to muck around getting it welded back on, so disconnected the cut-off switch, but now need a switch eliminator bypass kit. Have found one on ebay, but it's in Greece. So a question for my fellow Australian members - does anyone know where I can get one in Australia? I think it'll arrive a heck of a lot quicker.
Cheers,
Tim.

That or cut the wire from the side stand (leaving enough to reconnect if you ever get senile and want to put it back on) and solder the wires together. Then plug it back in.
With that kind of fix available I don't know why anyone would actually pay for a bypass.

The wires from the switch run up the frame and underneath the seat and that is where it connects to the main harness. Simply unplug the switch and remove that section of wires and plug the male and female bullet connectors into each other in the main harnes. That will bypass the switch and it is free and nothing to cut or splice together.

Pictures of the various alternatives would be nice.
With a new '94 KLR650, I didn't make 500 miles before the switch failed. So far the KLX250 has gone 3500 miles without a hiccup. Naturally, I've forgotten how I did the KLR.

Not bad to forget. It may not be the same. The KLX650 circuit is closed with the stand down, so it was simply unplugging the switch at the junction and tucking in the plug. The KLX250 is open circuit with the stand down, so it has to be closed when the stand is up or the switch removed.
I didn't take pictures because it was simply tracing up to the plug under the seat, cutting the wire on the switch side wiring a few inches from the end and, as I said, I think I soldered them together and done.
