Default Set-up at 4,000 feet

Hopefully I get to take my 09 klx250sf to DMV next week to take my test. after that I'll start making some changes to my bike......new header new can new air in take and jet kit etc.... I was just wondering if any one at this elevation would care to share their set up with me.... My bike was set up in Denver so it was set up stock for about 5,000 ft I haven't noticed it running lean or anything right now but with the mods I want I know it will need re jetted.

Thanks!

I don't think that's enough elevation change to make any difference. Additionally the OEM CV carb on our KLX's compensates a bit for altitude because of its diaphram design.

I don't think it needs changed from set-up right now, but it will when I open up the air box, add a new filter and add a new pipe and header. Then I think it will be time for a jet kit.

Hmmm I'm at 300 ft so I got nothing. Mine was setup for zero to 1500, above that and it starts to hesitate and sputter a little, but I have rode to 6000 and its been fine. There is no perfect setup for varied altitudes...well unless you get a bike with EFI!!!
