Default service shop in socal?

Anyone know of any good, fair priced motorcycle service shops in socal (hollywood area). Im looking to do a valve adjustment on my 09 sf and need some advice where to go. I already called one shop and got an estimate of $270.

I had my first one done for $190 at the dealer, in NH, so that might be about right for a shop in LA where rent is high? It should be less than 2 hrs of labor(although you pay for 2) and not much for parts. Shims are cheap and the gasket is too.
As a side note to my valve check, I had to reroute wiring and hoses afterwards. Give the bike a good going over before taking/paying for it after they are "done".
Now that they were checked once by the dealer, I will do it or take it to a good mechanic I know.
Any shop should be fine if you are past the warranty. Being an '09 I'd say so, but if you have an extended warranty, a dealer would be good if there is a warranty issue.

dealers in norcal wanted $300 for oil change and valve check....and, wanted $500 if they had to do the valve adjustment...a local shop wanted $350...i learned to do my own valve check and adjustment..

it takes about an hour...valve shims are $3 to $10 each, or you can get an entire shim kit for future use for $50 to $90...only have 4 shims to replace to adjust your valves if needed...feeler gauge set is only like $10 for the sizes you need....it might be worth learning to do on your own....

My local bike shop charges $40 for a valve check, $80 for an adjustment.

Yup. Whatever the market bears. If they can charge it, they will.
